Renovations That Give the Best Return on Investment

Renovations are excellent means of not only enhancing your quality of living but also boosting the project's return on investment by the time you decide to resell your New York home. Through these projects, you are recreating areas in your home to bring out the most welcoming, appealing, and functional results.

Your renovation project does not have to cost you an arm and a leg to yield success. An expensive project does not necessarily mean more payback. The key to make the most out of your allotted budget is spending it wisely. Whether you have a limited or sky-is-the-limit budget that can accommodate from surface-level to full-scale renovation, the most crucial factor to focus on are implementing designs that last as well as selecting quality products.

To appraise the value and get the most out of your hard-earned money, note that not all renovations are created equal. To maximize the benefits you will get out of the project, consider any of the smartest ideas to bring back the best return on investment.

The Kitchen

Since the kitchen is the most frequented area in any home with most of the waking hours of every family member spent here, kitchen renovation would surely create a great impact and difference. Considered as the heart of a home, most buyers tend to visit this area first to make sure that it does not only look and feel good but would efficiently accommodate every essential purpose.

The Bathroom

Stress is a common denominator that links most human beings today. What better way to soothe stress away than a luxuriating time to start as well as end the day? A beautiful and efficient bathroom renovation would surely make any homeowner anticipate the coming of each day, no matter how hectic it can be. A trend that is increasingly becoming very popular is creating a spa-like environment in your very own bathroom. A bathroom turned into your personal, everyday spa would surely be irresistible.

For larger homes, additional baths would also make up for extra appeal. For space estimate as well as deciding the new bath location, it is best to consult with your contractor.

Exterior Renovation

As the popular and proven clich goes, First impressions last. Renovating the surrounding grounds of your home through landscaping would give its curb appeal a great boost. A low maintenance garden with some attractive fountain fixtures could work well in creating an ambiance. And for a major facelift for less of the cost, have your walls repainted and new sidings installed.

An important key to the success of your renovation project and the eventual achievement of the anticipated return on investment, is hiring a qualified remodeling contractor. Quality is an important consideration that the buyer will critically be looking into. So if you are not a contractor yourself, the renovations are best done by skilled and experienced professionals.

Another thing to keep in mind is that modern buyers find home features that require less maintenance more attractive. If you have wall-to-wall carpeting, you can have this removed and refinish the existing hardwood flooring. Swimming pools are also among the least appealing with the tedious and regular cleaning and maintenance it requires.

How Watching Tv As A Boy Made Me A More Disciplined Adult

When I was a kid at primary school, way before I graduated to the darker days of high school, I used to believe there were three kinds of hero:
The superhero - guys like Batman who could kick butt despite looking pretty dodgy in their day-glo outfits
The anti-hero - like the Incredible Hulk who tried to do good but still got treated like an outcast
the everyday hero - normal people like you and me who could do superhero things, with just a little bit of training
Although the first two kinds were cool enough, you never felt like you could be just like them. I mean, how many times would an overdose of gamma personally hit you? But the third kind Anybody could be like them, even a scrawny little kid like me, and nowhere was this more true than with the 'Kung Fu' TV series.

Maybe it was because it was so normal that I liked it so much. The hero didn't look like the Hulk on steroids, and he didn't have need to wear a mask to hide who he was he'd take on everyone and be proud to show who he was. All I knew was that between 1972 and 1975, at exactly 6.00pm in the evening, I'd be in front of the TV, hunched just like a meditating Chinese martial artist myself.

It was also the first thing to introduce me to one of my favorite actors as well, David Carradine, who played the main character, Kwai Chang Cain. Okay, so he may not be the greatest actor on the planet, but you show me someone who is as laid-back cool as him and I'd bet David Carradine could lay the smack down on them. The fact that he was actually a trained martial artist made 'Kung Fu' an even better TV series, since he was just as scrawny as I was!

Born of an American father and Chinese mother, Cain is orphaned and becomes an outcast, and maybe I related to that, as my father died when I was very young, too. Taken in by Shaolin monks, they turn this scrawny little kid into the guy that even Bruce Lee would respect. Discovering he has a half-brother called Danny, Cain (as an adult) sets out on a journey across America to find him.

Although no specific episodes stood out for me as a kid, I always remembered the little sayings in every episode the philosophy of why I should strive to become a better person through discipline and honor. It must have worked, because 30 years later, I'm one belt away from achieving my black belt in karate.

When I found out that you could get the complete 'Kung Fu' TV series, I almost peed my pants (my strong karate discipline stopped me, of course!), since I never enjoyed the newer version of the series (which also starred Carradine as a descendent of Cain, and was shown in the nineties). Now all I need is my own little brood in my dojo, so I can share with them what made me the man I am today.

When the Yeast of God Begins to Work Anything Can Happen As Prayer is Answered and the Spirit Flows

There are many people praying in the United Kingdom - and I am sure wherever you are reading this - for Revival - an outpouring of the Holy Spirit - for our gracious loving God to move again.

We have seen it over many years - Abraham - Joshua - David - Isaiah and Jeremiah and the other anointed prophets - Peter, Paul, John and James, following the death and resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ.

Down through the centuries there have been times when God has broken through. I remember seeing that what was really important was not so much Church History as Kingdom History, when there was a breaking through of the Kingdom of God.

The yeast of God was at work.

In the 1960's and 70's we witnessed a global outpouring of the Spirit of God when every nation and denomination was affected to some degree. Of course, there were those who sat with their umbrellas up hoping they would not be touched or 'splashed'!

When God moves He moves sovereignly and that is what we are looking for and praying for in these present days. Consider what happened when Moses was leading the people of God out slavery in Egypt towards the promised Land. How did it all begin? With a mighty sovereign move of God in answer to the cries of the people. We read that in Exodus.

Read of how God released the Hebrew slaves from bondage in Egypt, under the leadership of Moses. At midnight the Lord struck, and the firstborn in Egypt died. Every Hebrew home was protected by the blood of a lamb which had been slain.

Take a moment to read the actual text in Exodus Chapter 12.

Realise the supreme importance of the blood of the lamb - that lamb which had been sacrificed in accordance with the instructions of Moses as he received them from Almighty God.

For us today the Lamb - our Passover Lamb is Jesus Christ. We read of that in the New Testament. So many appear totally unaware of the significance of the blood of the Lamb.

It was not Moses job to change, modify, water down, or edit the instructions. That would have meant disaster. We are living in a day when the so-called church wants to do so many of these very things.

Although leader of the nation, Moses was, in one sense, like a message boy, where his calling, task, and role was to deliver the message and not judge the content of the message.

There is only one thing that saves us from judgement and the consequences of sin, and that is the blood of the lamb, and our Passover Lamb is Jesus Christ, Whose blood was shed and whose life was sacrificed.

Pharaoh had said he never wanted to see Moses and Aaron again, yet at this time of national crisis he called these two men in. For Pharaoh it was a bit too late.

Be careful what you do. Be careful what you say. If you are rash and impetuous you may have to retract your words, and that can be embarrassing.

Moses is told, "Up, leave and go". O, if government would call in committed anointed spiritual leaders today. There are men around who have answers and solutions to the massive problems facing the nation - and these problems are spiritual, moral, economic and political. At the time of writing the United Kingdom according to some is near to 'melt down'.

When Moses was operating so powerfully and leading so manfully, the Holy Spirit was moving and moving rapidly and radically. The yeast of God was working.

Wherever you are keep praying. Keep interceding. Do not give in or give up.

When the yeast of God is working there is nothing we can do to stop it, but there is also nothing we can do to make that yeast work.

Learn How to Remove Wallpaper Easy

If you're attempting to remove wallpaper (W.P.) then you have come to the right place. Follow my simple tips and tricks. Not only will you save time and frustration, you will learn how to take it down the easy way. Wall-coverings can make a room look beautiful! However, when it becomes old, out dated, or torn, and your seams are coming apart, it's time to remove it. Most people go to their local hardware store to buy supplies and get some general advice. Most of the time, they purchase the wrong tools, the wrong wetting agent, and they get the wrong advice. Attempting to remove wall paper is a tricky matter. While you may find it a messy and time consuming job, don't try to avoid it by painting over it. This will worsen your removal project and is not an acceptable solution.

SAFETY ALWAYS COMES FIRST
Safety is of the highest importance. Always turn off the electricity at the main panel or at the fuse box for the room that you will working in. Water and electricity don't mix. You will also be working with a bucket of water. Be very careful with young children and pets as they can easily fall into the bucket of water and get seriously injured. Keep all products and tools out of reach from young children and pets. We can't stress safety enough. Read all safety warnings on all products, before beginning your project.

1. HOME-MADE CONCOCTIONS "DON'T WORK"
With so many new W.P. removal products on the market today, how would you know which one to choose? Many of my customers have shown me the different products they've tried, all which have failed. They have damaged their walls, stained the ceiling and / or woodwork. The solution was as simple as trying a different wetting agent. Some people apply vinegar, or other household concoctions. If you use plain water, vinegar, or other homemade concoctions; the liquid will just drip down the wall and onto the floor. This is nothing but a waste of time. "dif liquid concentrate" is the product that i always use. It is a clear liquid. Removal wetting agents work by allowing the product to absorb into the wall paper. In order to remove paper successfully you have to use a wetting agent. The trick is, "LET THE WETTING AGENT DO THE WORK". Don't rush this process. Be sure to read the label carefully. Mix with water as directed on the label.

2.TRY PULLING W.P. IN DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS
Finding the right direction to pull your paper off can make all the difference between hard and easy. Who knew that the direction you pull your paper, will make an incredible difference? When removing it dry or wet, try pulling from the baseboard up, if it does not remove easily, then try pulling from the ceiling down, if this does not work, try pulling sideways. Every job is different. Some remove easily dry, while others must be wet. To determine this, start at the bottom of the wall and lift a corner with a snap-off razor blade or the edge of your scraper. Many times the front of the paper removes easily dry. Most of the time the front removes dry, leaving the backing on the wall, this is normal. Remove the front dry and the backing wet. The backing will most always have to be wet. If pulling the front of the wall paper does not remove easily, or comes off in little pieces, then wet it. This includes all types of wallcoverings, vinyls, mylars, foils, grass cloths, embossed, textured, and many other types. Use your removal pump sprayer to wet the paper. Remember all papers removes differently. Therefore, if it isn't removing easily one way, always try pulling in another direction. This can make a big difference. And sometimes it is just a bear no matter what. If this method is not working, and you have tried everything, then you may want to try the scoring tool.

NOTE: To minimize wall damage, use in a circular motion, and do not apply too much pressure. The scoring tool should only be used after all the steps above have failed.

3.PUMP-ACTION SPRAYER IS A MUST-HAVE
Apply the wetting agent faster and cleaner by using a one gallon pump sprayer. Don't apply with a little hand held bottle sprayer. This will waste a lot of time and is also very painful to your hands. The pump sprayer is quicker, easier, and less painful trust me. The removal sprayer will allow you to wet a larger area at one time, speeding up the time needed for removing the paper. Spray the paper, then let it set for about fifteen to twenty minutes. Don't rush this process; the wetting agent requires time to work. If you do not wait for the recommended time, removal will be very hard. Now that the surface has been wet, try to remove with a W.P. scraper. If the wallcovering is not coming off it may have to be wet one more time. Spray once again, wait about ten to fifteen minutes. This is how to remove wallpaper easy Now that the wetting agents have had time to work, remove the wall paper. This sprayer will make an incredible difference on how this speeds up the process.

4. USE THE RIGHT SCRAPER
Broad knives and scrapers may look alike, but they are very different. Be sure to use a wall paper removal scraper. I have tried every scraper possible, expensive as well as very cheap. Believe it or not the cheaper scraper worked the best for me. The right removal scraper is designed with a sharp shaving edge for stripping paper. This is exactly what you need. With the sharp shaving edge, you can get under the paper, definitely speeding up the process. Each side of the removal scraper works differently, flip the scraper over to see which side works best for you.

5. REMOVE PASTE WITH EXTRA LARGE SCRUBBY SPONGE
Now that you have successfully removed your paper, you now need to know "how to remove wallpaper paste" off the walls. Use your sprayer filled with water and wetting agent, and spray your walls. The wetting agent will soften the glue. Wetting the walls with the sprayer will make in removing the paste mush easier. Now fill a bucket with warm water, and add a half cup of agent to about two gallons of water. Using a dual sided scrubby sponge, wash your walls. The textured side of the sponge is used to loosen the paste on the walls. The smooth side is used for cleaning the paste off.

6. OIL-BASE PRIME AFTER REMOVING WALLPAPER
To ensure that your new paper or paint will adhere to your walls correctly you must always apply oil-base primer. There are many reasons why you should use an oil-base primer. A good quality primer is designed to penetrate the existing wall surface and will seal up any left over adhesive residue, and any problem areas due to the removal. Primer will also block out and seal out anything that may come through the existing wall surface. It is crucial to let your walls dry before applying a primer to work properly. Some professionals as well as the do-it-yourselfer cut corners and don't prime after removing W.P. This is a very big mistake. Prime the walls as if you were painting, cutting in all areas, and don't skimp. After the primer has dried according to the manufacturers' directions, repair any damaged areas with spackle and then sand. Spot prime wherever you have patched the walls. You are now ready for paint. If you are re-hanging paper it is crucial to let the primer dry over night.

Building a Porch

If you are a do-it-yourselfer, you probably don't want to call a contractor to build a porch onto your home; not when you know that building one is something you are perfectly capable of doing yourself. After all, it is something anybody can do, provided that they have the right tools, a high patience level, some people to help with the lifting and a good set of instructions or plans.

Building a porch is a fantastic project, but it requires a lot of work. It is a lot different than building a simple front stoop. After all, it is going to serve as an extended entry way to your home. You want it to be well built and have some character.

You will need to decide how big you want it to be. Go outside and measure out just how much square footage your porch will need. You will need to know this information when it comes time to buy the materials needed to complete the project.

Before you start building one, however, you will want to make sure that you have the legal right to do so. Adding anything onto your home usually takes permits from the city and sometimes the county. There are regulations that will need to be followed and you will need to have your property inspected before you even begin your materials shopping.

When you go to buy the materials make sure your materials are pressure treated or is wood that has been given some elemental protection so that it will be able to stand up to the weather for a long time. You might also think about getting some protective paint or stain. In addition to the flooring, you will also need to buy enough wood to build the frame and supports. This will take wooden beams in various dimensions. If you do not have experience in this sort of thing, a call to a contractor or an experienced lumber person will be able to tell you what you need.

Another option when it comes to building a porch is to build a concrete floored one. Of course, in order to do this you will want to have had some experience with mixing and pouring concrete. If you do not have experience with this, you will want to enlist somebody who does have experience to help you.

Depending on the size, building a porch can be a huge undertaking or merely a weekend project. Small side ones shouldn't take long, but one that is larger takes time, effort and a few permits. You will still be able to save a lot of money by building it yourself. After all, anybody can do it. It just takes the right materials, the right tools and a few people to help you lift the heavier materials. When you are done, you will have a porch that your family will enjoy for years to come.

The 3 Ways to Make Money Online

If you are looking for ways to make money online, you are not alone; millions of people are trying to make money online. What this means is that you will need to know what you are doing to get ahead of all that competition. There are a lot of moneymaking opportunities on the Internet, but you do have to know what will work, and what will be a waste of time.

There are a few different methods of making money online; the first would be through affiliate marketing. To make money with affiliate marketing you have to first decide what niche you are going to focus on, and what your sales venue will be. This could be a blog, website, or a simple landing page. Once you know these two things, you will then search through affiliate marketing programs to find one with products that will fit with your niche.

You then signup for the program and place affiliate links on your site or blog, and when a sale is made from your link, you will make money. The best place to find affiliate marketing programs is through an affiliate network.

Another option for making money online is through advertising. For this to work you will need a large amount of traffic coming to your site, so first and foremost, you should concentrate on generating traffic. Once you have accomplished this, you can then either offer direct advertising on your site, or go through an advertising broker such as Google AdSense.

Finally, to make money online you can choose to go into ecommerce. Here you have a couple of different choices as well. You have the option of selling your own products, or reselling for someone else; additionally you can run your retail site from your own site or through an online auction site, such as eBay. Many people do a combination of both of these things. How you run your ecommerce business will greatly depend on the product you are selling. Some products sell better on auction sites than others.

There are many people on the Internet making money with all three of these techniques, but before you decide which is best for you, it will be necessary to evaluate your market and which moneymaking venue is most likely to be successful for you. If you plan correctly, you too can make money online with your own Internet based business.

Blogging For Dollars - Some Tips on Learning To Make Money Online

It is far to easy to be seduced by the promise of making money online. Although countless programs and courses claim to hand you the keys to the internet vault, the vast majority of buyers don't make any money.

Why is this? Are all the programs filled with lies and misinformation? I suspect that although there are con-men out there, most of the "make money online" and "Blogging for Dollars" courses out there are legitimate. The problem generally lies with the consumer not being able to follow a system completely, or not understanding how or why certain things are done.

Most people, when setting up their blog to make money, don't have a strong system to follow. Most courses lay a system out, but sometimes pieces are missing-little things that the authors take for granted, that the consumer doesn't understand. That is why it's normally recommended to start with a mentor or a "live" membership site, so you can get help and input from the author of the program as well as other students.

Another thing to look for when evaluating a "make money with blogs" program is the success rate of the teacher and other students. In this way you can gauge both the viability of the program, and the quality of the instruction. Both are important-make sure the teacher knows what she is doing, and is able to communicate it well.

My final tip is to make sure a program complete. You should learn all aspects of internet marketing as they relate to the subject being taught. For instance, in a course about making money from blogs, you should expect to learn how to choose a topic, how to optimize your blog properly, how to structure a post, and what forms of monetization work best.

As you can see, the easiest way to start blogging for dollars is to find a program being run by someone who has successfully made money blogging and who can teach you how to do the same. Making money online doesn't have to be hard, it just has to be systemized. Find a good system and you will find success.

Start Blogging for Dollars today.

Make Money Online in a Tough Economy

Have you always wondered why others are making big money online and you have trouble earning just a few measly bucks? Do you dream of online earnings that you can make from the comfort of your home without having to answer to a boss? Would you like to make money online in this tough economy? Find out how others are earning big money online and how you can too.

Most successful online entrepreneurs have more than one source of income. They use websites, blogs, affiliate products, residual and multi-level programs, eBay income, advertising revenue, their own products, and other people products. Few people that make big money online do it by using just a single technique.

And that is a mistake that most new comers make. They hear about a program that interests them and they commit all of their efforts to that one thing. If success doesn't come to them right away, they quit working the program and feel that they can't make money online.

Few successful online business owners make money off of just one thing. It is almost always a combination of different income sources. Some of these sources earn just a few dollars a month and others make thousands. It is through this diversification that they find products and systems that are the most profitable.

Most successful individuals use 10-12 different programs that make money at any given time. There are some that make more than others, but at the end of the year when you add everything up, you can make tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars.

But to make it all work, you have to get started. If you are not making any money online and you are using one single system, branch out and look for other programs that sound profitable. It is through this diversification that you can achieve true success and begin making real money online.

Can You Make Money From the Internet?

Can you make money on the internet? Well the simple answer to that is yes you can, easily in fact. The problem is that the difference between making money and making enough money to make it worthwhile is huge. I recently put up an Autoblog website about films. I put on AdSense and some links to eBay and Amazon. Now I do nothing with the site and it earns me a small amount of money for every person that clicks on an advert. How much? Well it has currently paid me around $1 since I set it up around 3 months ago. So that's not exactly going to set the world on fire is it? I guess I could go mad and create another 1000 websites, but with the cost of domains and hosting even at that rate I would be losing money by the end of the year. I have to admit I am only letting the website run on autopilot for the moment until it has some decent rankings in the search engines, once it has that I can think about trying to monetize it more.

So how can you make effective money from the internet? Well you have to employ a series of strategies to spread your risk. For example I have a poker blog which earns a nice income from adverts from two advert suppliers. One of them recently changed its terms and conditions to no longer accept gambling related adverts. If the only thing I concentrated on was poker or gambling related sites, I could well have been looking at a substantial cut in income. So here are a few of the things I do to earn money on the internet.

  • Adverts from websites.
  • Posts from websites.
  • AdSense.
  • eBay and Amazon links.
  • Affiliate marketing.
  • Article marketing.

I hope this article has helped you think of some of the ways to earn money, but beware there are a huge amount of ebooks out there which promise to help you earn money on the internet, but don't always deliver the goods. Do your research before you buy anything!

Money from the internet is a definite possibility; the market which is worth billions each year is growing at a phenomenal rate. If it interests you can you afford to be left behind? You could earn a stand alone income or some extra money each month for those extras. More hints and tips to get you started can be found on my internet money tips page.

Tips on How to Finish a Basement Wall

The walls are something you should take account of when you finish a basement. Finishing a basement is very important if you want your basement not only to look good. The walls in the basement are very important because they provide the structure for your basement and carry the weight of your home above it.

Tip 1: Make sure your walls are dry enough to work with.

Check how much moisture content your wall has. If it has too much moisture, there are probably leaks either on the walls itself or on the floor.

Tip 2: Install drywall.

Installing drywall to your concrete walls does not take a genius. It is also more time efficient as compared to applying plaster instead. Drywall is also made out of gypsum that helps prevent the spread of fire. When attaching your drywall, make sure that nothing is protruding on its surface (ex. nails).

Tip 3: Add furring strips

Furring strips will prevent water from leaking in your basement and will provide a more leveled wall to work with. A leveled working surface is very important when you finish a basement.

Tip 4: Insulation and Vapor Barriers

Attaching both of them, will aid in possible heat-related problems in your basement .Insulation is important or less heat loss. It is needed to help maintain a suitable room temperature especially during the cold months.

Tip 5: Design your walls.

The design of your walls is really up to you. You can paint over the surface of the drywall or create a textured finish with the use of wooden boards and other similar materials.
To finish a basement wall is one of the few things you should remember if you want to be able to enjoy your basement longer.

Want to learn how to decorate your basement wall a little more creatively? Discover practical basement remodeling ideas online and turn cheap basement ideas into dream basements at a budget.

Who Do People Say I Am?

There is a story about a Lutheran minister, a Catholic priest and an Anglican priest who dies and arrived at the Pearly Gates at the same time. When they arrived, St. Peter was on his lunch break, so Jesus was on duty at the Pearly Gates. He decided to test the three men of the cloth, so he asked them, "Who do you say I am?" The Lutheran minister was first in line, so he spoke up first and said, "The Bible says..." Jesus interrupted him and said, "I don't care what the Bible says. Who do YOU say I am?" The Lutheran minister replied,"I don't know..." Now the minister was standing on a trap door, so when Jesus pulled a lever, the door opened up, and the Lutheran minister was on his way to hell.

The Catholic priest was next, and when Jesus asked him, "Who do you say I am?" the Catholic priest replied, "The Pope says..." Jesus interrupted him and said, "I don't care what the Pope says. Who do YOU say I am?" The Catholic priest replied, "I don't know..." Jesus pulled the same lever, the door opened, and the Catholic priest was on his way to hell. The Anglican priest stepped up and Jesus asked him the same question. The Anglican priest replied, "You are the Christ". Jesus was very pleased, so he threw open the Pearly Gates. When the Anglican priest started to step forward, he said, "But on the other hand..."

You have to feel sorry at times for Peter. His intentions are often for the best, but like most people he often ends up putting his foot in his mouth. For example, he cut off a man's ear with a sword when he tried to prevent Jesus' arrest before his crucifixion. He also wanted to build houses when he saw Moses, Elijah and Christ together on the mountain at Christ's Transfiguration. When Jesus asked the disciples, "Who do you say I am?" Peter did the right thing when he said "You are the Christ", but when Jesus mentioned his upcoming trials and crucifixion, Peter tried to rebuke Jesus for what he said. Peter's intentions were noble, but he was ignorant about what it really means to be a Christian.

Like many of us, Peter didn't really understand the true nature of Christ's kingdom. Knowing Jesus is key to understanding the Gospels. Ignorance about what it really means to be a Christian is a second, central key to Mark's Gospel. When Christ asks us to take up our cross and follow him, we have to be prepared to pay the price just like he did. We must be prepared to face scorn, ridicule, ostracism, etc. We must be prepared to embrace the will of God, whatever it may be and whenever he decides to reveal his will. When we become a Christian and take up our cross, we must do four things:

1. Embrace Christ voluntarily
2. Renounce all prejudices, sins, etc.
3. Submit willingly to Christ's will
4. Be faithful, even unto death

Mark's view is that knowing Jesus is important, just like it is for us. It allows us to trust him, to transform our way of thinking, to tell others about Christ and to take our identity from him. Our faith in God and our belonging to Jesus Christ are the foundation of our comfort, strength and courage to face the battles of this world.

God doesn't promise a life free of suffering, trouble, problems, persecution or danger. These forces can and often do bring us pain and suffering, but when we endure them in faith for Christ, he will be with us always, for as Paul wrote in Romans 8:39, "...neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus". No one knows why God allows suffering and pain, but we do know that when we believe in him by faith, he identifies with our suffering, because Christ suffered and died for our sins. If we believe in him and acknowledge him as Christ, He will give us strength in times of need, even to the point of carrying us through the deep, dark valleys of life.

Our answer to the question, "Who do you say I am?" can reveal our struggle as to what it means to be part of a Christian community of faith. If we answer, "You are the Christ" like Peter did, our answer reveals two things:

1. A view of a life of compassion and justice as a vivid experience
2. A deep trust in God through Christ

Our lives have to be lost so that they might be saved. Preoccupation with saving life is a sure way to lose it. Fulfillment is found in denial of ourselves. Doctrinal knowledge of Christ is not enough to save our lives. We need to have a personal encounter with, and a vivid experience of, the crucified and risen Lord. This only happens when we receive the spirit of the Lord. Belief is necessary to know Jesus. We have to accept his words by faith. Jesus asks us to deny ourselves and take up our cross and follow him. His suffering led to God's peace. Anyone who refuses to suffer for doing God's will loses the very life they cherish. Those who willingly suffer for his sake will save their eternal life and soul.

Jesus was the model of courage. He had the courage to face a difficult task of suffering, rejection, death and resurrection. He is the source of our courage and competence when we believe in him by faith. Christianity is also the means by which courage is demonstrated. Christian courage seeks opportunities to put life and faith on the line. Christians have the courage to always seek loads or crosses to carry. Christian courage also means fighting the desire to avoid pain. Pain is sometimes necessary in order to follow Christ. Change is necessary and sometimes painful, and often involves short term pain for long term gain, but the process can and often does result in something bigger and better that fits in with God's plan.

Christian courage also means accepting the power God gives us to change the world. When we accept him as Christ, we are called by God to live as people who can make an impact on others by spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ. When we use the gifts he gives us to make a difference in the lives of our families, friends, communities, churches, schools or community groups, we are showing Christ's love while at the same time acknowledging that Jesus really and truly is 'the Christ".

German theologian Dietrich Bonheoffer is a good example. He was a Christian dissident in Nazi Germany. He was tired of both Nazi persecution and colleagues who compromised with Nazi philosophy. He decided to go to the United States to escape the Nazis, but he returned when he believed that God called him to be involved in the reconstruction of Germany once the Nazis were defeated. He felt that he could not take part in the process unless he shared the trials of the people-just like Christ shared our trials during his lifetime. Dietrich Bonheoffer paid the ultimate price when he was hung from the gallows at the Flossenberg concentration camp-just like Christ paid the ultimate price on the cross.

This story reminds us that our struggles with ourselves are often more dramatic than our confrontations with others. We are designed in the image of Christ, but we are also marred by the stain of the original sin in the Garden of Eden. We are often torn between our desire to obey God's will and our own human weaknesses. The only way this struggle will end is for us to submit to God's higher calling.

Jesus asks the disciples to tell him who others confess Jesus to be. We should consider their answers carefully, for we can apply them to what people confess concerning Jesus today. We need to know who he is in order to follow him and continue his work. The importance and necessity of Christ's teaching and the proclamation of Christ are derived from our understanding of modern answers to the question "Who do you say I am?"

Those who refuse to acknowledge Christ by not attending church at all without good cause, or by only attending church on special occasions, or who refuse to attend when the Eucharist is not being celebrated, or when the service is not from the Book of Common Prayer, or when the service is not from the Book of Alternative Services, or because they do not like the celebrant are in effect stabbing the church and Christ in the back. When we come together in humility and humbleness in public worship, we admit that we are not better than God. We are all part of God's family. When we submit to him, we do so in the same way we submit to our parents' authority, or to another authority figure. When we say, "You are the Christ" we acknowledge God's authority. If we run away from him by not attending church, we are in effect running away from him and his family.

There are two sides to Christ. One side represents Christ's love for us, and the other side represents his wrath when we refuse to accept him and submit to his will. This might seem like a contradiction. After all, how can a God of love also show fierce anger? It's simple. God does love us, but that doesn't mean his wrath isn't real or that he lets us get away with sin. There is a price to pay when we don't take him seriously. All one has to do is remember the stories of the Great Flood, or the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, or the drowning of the Egyptian army after Moses parted the Red Sea, and one will realize what happens when God unleashes his wrath. We need to know the fierceness of God's wrath in order to understand the wonder of his love. He showed us his love by providing a way out of our sinful ways-namely, Christ's death on the cross.

A more down-to-earth example of the two sides of Christ is to remember a child's relationship with his or her own parents. The parents love the child like Christ loves us, but when the child misbehaves or does something to make the parents angry, they unleash their wrath through various forms of punishment. God is the same way. He loves us because he is our heavenly Father, but when we displease him and refuse to accept and acknowledge Christ, LOOK OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The church is where we can devote ourselves to the apostles' teachings. These teachings will provide us with the answer to the question, "Who do you say I am?" They teach us about who Jesus is, what he did and what he taught. They teach us what it means to follow Christ is our own life and congregation. Those who substitute attendance at worship services with listening to radio or TV evangelists do not receive the benefit of this "local touch". People who go to church are not perfect, and even the celebrants are not perfect, but when a church member faces the tough times that all believers will sometimes face when they take up Christ's cross, the entire church pulls together to share the burden.

Those of us who remember Christ's words from the Sermon on the Mount will remember the phrase "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven". This phrase refers to those who are humble, those who recognize the incompleteness or poverty of human resources, and those who realize their utter dependence on God. If we humble ourselves to God, and if we put our trust in God's plentiful resources, and if we put our trust in him, he will reward us with eternal life and a place of honour in his heavenly kingdom.

Productive Article Writing - Discover 6 Simple Ways to Make Money With Article Writing

Do you want to become a recognized expert on the online arena? Then, you must seriously consider showing online users what you've got by writing highly informative articles that you can post online.

Here's how you can make money with article writing:

1. Say no to passive voice. One of you main goals in writing your articles is to move your readers to act on your favor. You cannot do that if your content sound weak. Use active voice all the time that can help you easily direct your readers and make your content sound more effective and compelling. Instead of saying, "it can be achieved", why not use, "you can achieve this"?

2. Tell your readers what to do. Most people are going online because they are literally clueless on how they can resolve their pressing issues. As an expert on your chosen niche, you are in the best position to direct them to the right path. Tell them what they have to do and how to do it step by step. Just make sure that all the tips and techniques that you are offering are proven to work so you can avoid misleading these people.

3. Go with specific topics. Online users can easily get bored when reading articles online so it is not advisable that you touch on topics that will require them to spend hours in their computers. Discuss topics that you can discuss in 500 words or less. If you are writing about weight loss, you can make your topics more specific by targeted specific angles of your story. You can write weight loss for teenagers, weight loss tips, etc.

4. Provide examples. To promote better understanding and to help your readers visualize the message that you are trying to get across, incorporate your topics with real-life examples or stories that your readers can easily identify with. If permitted, you can insert graphics or relevant images especially if you are offering step-by-step guides.

5. Be precise and concise. By this, I simply mean don't be a rambler. Say what you mean and mean what you say to save your readers their precious time. Avoid using lengthy introductions, fillers and fancy words.

6. Proofread. If you want to be regarded as an expert article writer, you must care to offer flawless work. Do not forget to check on your grammar, spelling, and punctuation before you hit that submit button. Remember, it may take months or even years before you can build your reputation online and it can only take few errors to ruin it.

Freelance Writing Myths Busted

'I am a freelance writer', I said.
'Oh, so you work from home?' asked the gentleman.
'Yes sir. I do.'
'That's easy. You are so lucky. I wish I could do the same.'
'Believe me, you don't.'

This is an excerpt from a conversation which I had with a gentleman who occupies a senior managerial post in one of the biggest global conglomerates. He's a family friend and hence took the liberty of casually informing me about my exceptionally good fortune to be able to work from home. It's not the words that surprise or irk me. It's the number of times that I hear this that makes me want to pull out my hair. It's the 'Oh,-that's-an-easy-job' attitude in those words that wants me to clear some myths over here.

I am a freelance writer by choice. Come May 2009 and it will be 3 long years since I started doing it. Yes, I quit a high paying job with IBM and took this up. Not because it was more lucrative. It was only because I wanted to smile at the end of a day's work feeling satisfaction and contentment. I am sure you must have heard the 'Do what you love to do and the money will follow' bit. I was smitten by that. I have had my ups and my lows. I have met my share of great clients and also the pesky ones. But it has been far from easy. What people don't seem to realize is that when they try to label this job as even remotely easy, they are trying to take away from me, all that I have put in, in the last three years. And I refuse to let anybody take away even an iota of my efforts.

Anyone who feels that writing or freelance writing is an easy job should read this. This is especially for you.

You work from home, you have got all the time. Why don't you...., Can you please.....

I am sorry, but no is the answer. I too have a 7 to 8 hour work schedule like most others. The only difference being the place that I work from. Though I might not have to adhere to strict login times, I do follow a stringent time schedule. My work demands incessant attention and I devote most time of my day towards it. I agree that I do manage to save up on a lot of time otherwise spent in annoying bottleneck traffic. But if you ask me to do chores or tasks for you, I would have to reply in the negative. I cannot baby-sit, I cannot take your pet for a walk to the park nor can I accompany you to the supermarket. I call this work for a reason. It earns me my bread and butter. And any

The work that you do is great to do part time/ post retirement. How do I start?

Writing is not something that you can do after you come back home from a grueling day at work or while you are fishing for that matter. It's not that easy. (I'll come to this in a minute or two). It requires a fair amount of planning, business acumen and most importantly, a flair for writing which very few people possess. I am not a literary giant, but I do manage to impress a lot of people with my writing skills. Can you do the same? If yes is the answer, then you must think seriously about making this a career and not pursuing it like some half-assed hobby. And post retirement? You know what I wish to do post retirement? Mining. Maybe that's easier.

Writing, that's easy!

Is it? Then why don't you try?

Adam Hochschild once said that, 'Work is hard. Distractions are plentiful. And time is short." (Source: Thinkexist)

That's how you sum up freelance writing. Every second is a challenge and there is a new distraction to counter. If you do not have a dedicated work place at home and you share it with the living room or some other room, then there are distractions galore. There will be a family member doing his/her daily chores (Noisily on more occasions than not). There will be phone calls. There will be visitors at the door. There are kids if you are married, girlfriends if you are not. And, the biggest distraction is the internet itself. If you are hooked on social networking or gaming, then it's very hard to curb that instinct to log on for a second and check for new scraps or writings or whatever you call em.

Then there is time management to worry about. Try being your own boss and you will know what I am talking about. That one extra hour of sleep, that one extra song on your Ipod, that one extra page in your fav novel, they all eat up on your quality productive time faster than you can imagine. Believe me; it's easier to work in a regular 9 to 5 job. You have fixed work hours, a fixed pay scale. You pay your taxes, you have your insurance. As a freelancer, I have to build it all up.I cringe when someone calls it 'easy'.

Try churning out 6 to 8 quality articles per day and then find time to contact potential clients and then find some more time to send in a sales pitch and then find some more time to update your own blog and then some more to bid for more work. Call that easy and you can call me Harry Potter.

Hey, you don't have many expenses. You must be raking in the moolah!

Yes and No. While I do save up money spent on traveling and food, I have my own share of expenses.
I have an insurance policy to set up.
I have to invest in software and services to promote and market my business.
I have to work towards building up my retirement account.
I frequently come across clients who do not pay me on time. Yes, I do not have a monthly pay check that comes in on time.
And lastly, I have a very bleak economic situation affecting my work.
Yes, I have managed fairly well so far. But I wouldn't call myself rich. At least, not yet. (I still haven't bought a home).

Let me wrap this up by saying that this article was in no ways written to discourage new and promising writers from entering the arena. If you have a passion for writing, love reading and writing about new things, love to chase new gigs, then freelance writing can be a great profession for you. This was just my way of presenting the facts. If you felt it to be too hard hitting or rude, then I sincerely apologize for that. Didn't mean to be. The tone of the words depends a lot on the mindset of the person writing it. Maybe I'll get saner soon! Cheers. :

Affirmations - The Top One

"Art is essentially the affirmation, the blessing, and the deification of existence" - Friedrich Nietzsche

While traveling the road of life's journey of growth and fulfillment many people recite affirmations such as "I am rich without a hitch" or "I am strong, I am safe and all is well." These affirmations are used to create and develop a positive attitude to life and what's possible for you in that experience. Even those that do not believe in the power of affirmations will say that they "can't hurt" so you might as well say them.

Affirmations can, indeed, hurt and continue to reinforce the very block that it is being used to overcome. For example if the next thought you have after you recite the above affirmation examples are "But there's a glitch" or "Who am I kidding?" then all you are doing in your continued recitation of the affirmation is to reinforce feelings of not being rich and not being strong, safe and well. All you really do in that case is reinforce the negative. And you continue to stay stuck right where you are without any forward positive movement on your journey.

Before you throw your hands up in despair, there is an affirmation that reinforces a 'can do' positive state of self-esteem and being-ness. It's very simple. Easy to remember. The total affirmation is one word. And that word is...

YES!

The word affirmation means saying YES to yourself, your creative expression, and the life you lead. It is accepting your own unique personhood, your own talents. When you affirm you declare solemnly and formally as true. You declare your individuality. You embrace your life, own it, and let it flow through you. You no longer resist it. The greatest strength you could ever have is in your ability to affirm yourself. This affirmation is the acceptance of yourself in your present as the person you are. Within that acceptance you include qualities that you wish you did not have. In that light, affirmation is the loving recognition of your own integrity and value.

Now, this doesn't mean that you like every piece of every experience that you have. Even with these experiences you can affirm your own life force. You can maintain your personal boundaries and refrain from saying yes to events, issues or people that trouble you. Saying yes in this context is not about accepting whatever gets thrown at you. You affirm your uniqueness, say yes to who you are, even at times when you say no. Saying yes to you is about being at cause. Declaring your right to make decisions. Deliberately creating your experiences and owning those experiences without judgment. Without resistance. If an unwanted event is experienced, you affirm yourself in that experience and through examination of that unwanted event reveal how you were at cause in that experience. And make the correction the next time around. When you affirm your life you have the complete understanding that you form your own experiences and emphasize your ability to do so.

That one little affirmation of yes, delivers to you the power to create anything you want to experience or produce in your life.

Say yes. Yes to what you've experienced. Yes to your right to want what you want. Yes to who you are. Yes to the full expression of your creative soul.

"The supreme virtue in art is soul, perhaps it is the only thing which gives it the right to be." - Willa Sibert Cather

Structuring Your Time During the Day

We only have 24 hours in each day, if we're working 12 hours each day, six days a week, planning the time required to create a habit will be a little more difficult, than someone who works four hours a day three days each week.

If you're one of those overachievers and can't seem to rest or sit down for even five minutes a day. This tells me, we need to change this habit first. Most people that tell you, they just don't have any time during the day, for anything. These people usually have a lot more time than others.

Their time is normally unstructured and they often find themselves running around like a chicken with its head cut off. They are not organized or very efficient at most things that they do. Keep in mind that there are some extremely successful people that only work four hours each day and some of these people take vacations every other month.

Structuring your time will allow you the extra time you need during the day.

If you have a daytime organizer, use this to figure out, if there is any wasted time during the day. Pay strict attention to any wasted time and make a list you can evaluate at the end of the day. Do this for one week and at the end of the week evaluate your weekly activities.

If you don't have a daytime organizer, carrying around a scrap piece of paper to keep track of your daily activities. If you don't have a daytime organizer or if this is too much work for you, simply pay attention to any time you might feel, has been wasted during the day.

If we can create better time management habits, it won't be long before we have more time than we ever imagined.

Have you ever thought about Getting up Earlier.

Secret

God is in the Details

My college architectural history professor would repeat this phrase as if it were the key to architecture itself. This quote is attributed to renowned modernist architect, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. I believe he meant that the true beauty of a structure can be found in the details of that structure. His steel and glass structures are elegant and graceful at a distance and maintain that beauty in their details when you walk up and touch them. When I think of buildings that I like, the things I remember the most are the details. It might be the curve of a staircase, the drip cap of a window, or the brickwork in a chimney.

It is the details of a structure that can take it from the ordinary to the extraordinary. Here in Dutchess County we do not have any great Van der Rohe buildings, but I imagine you like myself feel the difference when you walk into a home that was built in 1810 and one that was built in 1975. I am often asked by clients to take a home that they consider boring or "cookie-cutter", maybe a 1970 colonial and give it character... some personality and style. This can truly be done by simply changing the details. We can take out the windows and trim and replace them with the exact same amount of material but by placing them thoughtfully and detailing correctly, we create an entirely different effect. The details at the eaves and gable ends can be reworked in ways that last longer and give the home presence. Unlike the 1810 home that has been kept in original condition, a 1970's home after 35 years can feel dated or worse, begin to fall apart if detailed very poorly.

There is no question that complex details can be expensive, but with care, the same amount of material and a little thought can transform the mundane into the special. Ironically the simpler the building the more important the details and proportions become. You might hardly notice an odd detail on a Queen Ann Victorian facade, but I tend to notice every detail on an austere Shaker farm building.

When you consider that homes we build today may be in use by our great-great grandchildren or beyond, it makes sense to spend a little more time thinking about the details.

Starting a Shade Garden...

The shade garden can be exploding with color and texture. No matter how much shade is in your landscape, the right flowers, plants, bushes and bulbs will grow in this area when given a chance. As there are various types of shade, you will need to choose the plants that are 'right' for the type of shade you have: partial, dense, full, or filtered shade.
In starting a shade garden, one of the easiest shade gardens will be the filtered shade garden. What you need to do first is look at the trees or bushes that are making this area a filtered shade garden. Pruning off the lower branches on taller bushes and on the tree will allow additional light into your garden. Because you are planning a filtered shade garden, you do want some amount of sunlight in that garden below the tree.

Thinning out the bottom saplings that are trying to grow from the tree is needed at this time to ensure they do not grow up in your garden. Underbrush and thorny bushes should be cut down and dug up at this time before starting your shade garden.

Now you can work on the soil that is in the area that you want to create that new garden. Adding organic materials, more soil, compost, manure or other types of nutrients to the soil will prepare the fine garden bed that will hold your shade plants.

When possible, do not disturb the roots of the tree that will be in or around the garden area. Cutting or disturbing the roots of a tree can cause damage or death to the tree over time. Working with the soil and adding the needed materials to make your garden about six inches deep is going to be the ultimate situation for your new plants.

After planting your first shade plants in the garden continue to water them every few days until the roots begin to 'take hold' and support the plants. When placing your plants in the soil of your new garden, mulching around the plants will hold the water in the soil for your plants to thrive best.

Shade Garden Plants

Do you have a landscape that involves trees, shrubs, and bushes? When your landscape is filled with shade during certain times of the day, you can still have wonderful plants, flowers and color using the shade garden plants.
You might find it most interesting that within the shade garden plants, there are additional types of shade needs. Shade gardening does give you various opportunities to change your landscape and to enhance the tree line of your yard. Shade gardens give many gardeners a more relaxing feel, as a place where you can stroll and be calming in the shade. The sun areas of your garden and landscape are lively and energetic.

To discover more about the different shade areas of a garden, take a walk through this area, or walk through the woods. Taking a walk through the woods you will find that sunlight does still hit some areas and some soil is in the shade all the time.

Filtered shade is an area where the sun will lightly hit. This indirect sunlight filters to the ground between leaves, branches, and other bushes. An example of where filtered shade is - this the soil at the bottom of a very tall tree that has branches that have been thinned out. The thinning of the tree allows sun to still fall on the ground below but in an indirect manner.

Partially shaded areas of your garden are different from the filtered shade areas. The portions of your landscape or gardens that does get sun four or five hours a day, but then remains in the shade of a tree or house the remaining portion of the day is a partially shaded area. The plants that are sensitive to the high temperatures of the full sun in the afternoon are plants that you will grow in this area.

Full shade areas of your garden are the areas of your garden that remain in the dark for most of the day. Sunlight may shine in this area of the landscape when trees loose their leaves or for less than an hour each day. Choice plants that mature in the spring or produce flowers in the fall are the plants that grow in this portion of your landscape.

Dense shade is yet another area of your landscape where the sun never shines and the area never do receive partial shade. Dense shade areas of your landscape include those that are beside fences, houses, in the thick of the wooded area or similar type areas.

Read the information that is available when purchasing plants that you want to place in shade gardens. Some shade plants still require some amount of sun as described above for the best results.

Attraction and Positive Thinking - 4 Steps to Success

The Law of Attraction gets a lot of press. It is a simple notion, that the things you imagine, visualize, and focus upon in your mind can become manifest on your concrete existence. Conversely, focusing on the negative possibilities may help bring those circumstances or events into reality.

Attraction is a simple concept, but it is not always easy to implement. Old patterns of thinking, depression, and the influence of others may inhibit the success of positive thinking. Here are 4 steps toward success in achieving a state of positive thinking where you can utilize the Law of Attraction:

1. Take care of your physical body. The body and mind are linked, and the health of one certainly impacts the health of the other. Eat healthy, whole foods, including fresh vegetables, fruits, lean proteins, and whole grains. Avoid processed foods and refined sugars. Take natural supplements such as a food based multivitamin, calcium if you need it, and fish oil. If you struggle with mild depression, try L-Theanine and 5 HTP (hydroxytryptophan). Implement an exercise plan approved by your doctor.

2. Release your negative thinking about yourself. To accomplish this, you may need counseling to help you work through your individual issues and faulty self perception. The support of close family and friends also goes a long way toward helping you to feel better about yourself. Imagine yourself as being just who, and where you need to be right now. Understand that you have purpose and meaning in the universe.

3. Release your negative thinking about others. If you are harboring anger or hurt toward someone, try allowing yourself the full emotion and physical effect, then make a decision to release it. Imagine you are just where you are meant to be at this moment. Try to comprehend and accept that the person who wronged you is working with and doing what they can with whatever they have, even if it isn't much. Imagine the potential benefits that may come from the negative experience, and practice releasing the offender or the event to the universe, to whatever God has in store for him or her.

4. Begin "daydreaming" about the things you desire. Is it a new house? A happy relationship? A car? A more fulfilling job? Imagine how it will feel, taste, look, and smell to have the thing you want. The more detailed you can make the sensory experience, the better. If a negative thought enters your mind, imagine a big red "X" through it and say "Cancel" or another dismissive word.

Caring For Loving People

Vision Means Passion - What's Yours?

Interestingly, the word vision can be interchangeable with the word passion.

But small business owners often forget to promote the true reason for being in business. Theyve lost touch with their passionate vision.

Passion is defined as an intense, driving, or overmastering feeling or conviction. Vision means unusual discernment or foresight - a person of vision.

Our vision (passion) is that intense driving conviction of unusual foresight that involves people in our story.

It is an authentic story because it comes from our heart. Its the reason we do what we do. And authentic stories are how we persuade people to use our service or product (ideas) over many other choices.

But for a majority of people in small business, vision is lost somewhere between starting the business and dealing with the day-to-day challenges and opportunities that arise.

Ask Yourself This Question

Why did you go into business in the first place?

Like many people, you probably got started with a vision you felt passionate about. Somewhere along the line you fell victim to day-to-day, reactive thinking and never returned to your original business vision. It became diluted and never rose from the ashes again.

What Can I Do to Rediscover My Vision?

Remembering the reason you started your business is the first step. Follow the action steps below to rediscover it.

Next, tell people the story of how you got started and why you love what you do. That story should be on your marketing collateral, web site, sales presentations and phone messages.

Passion is that single, illusive thing that attracts clients. Passion helps you stand out from other businesses who are selling rather than telling a passionate, authentic story about a unique business vision.

Action Steps to Develop Your Vision

1. Create an Authentic Vision Story. Start by considering the reason you started your business in the first place. Think back, when you first started out, what were you excited about?

2. Write down one sentence that tells the value you provide to others. This is the true reason anyone is in business.

3. Next, write down your competitive advantage. How are you different than the competition?

4. List single sentence statements that tell people your identity. Remember, image is dead. Clients and prospects need a strong authentic identity to understand exactly who you are and what you stand for.

5. Add your niche to this list. What single group of people do you best serve?

6. List the type of client you most enjoy working with. Include both professional and personal qualities. Understand who your ideal client is.

7. Weave the 6 points above into a compelling story.

8. Memorize that story. Focus on your ideal client only. Tell every ideal prospect you talk to this week your Authentic Vision Story.

9. The results will surprise you. Your prospects will seem more receptive. Your clients will be more willing to help you spread the word.

Follow these steps and you are guaranteed to find more enjoyment in your business.

We Know More About What We Dont

Is the Bible Historically Accurate? Do You Ever Seek Truthful Answers?

I'm going to start with the first book of the holy Bible, Genesis chapter 1 verse one through five. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

And God said," let there be light," and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light day, and the darkness he called night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.

If the Bible is historically accurate, did God actually create earth. I have been battling over this, my whole life. It's very easy for someone to accept and believe in any religion, government, other people or whatever they truly desire to make real. I see it every day of my life, open your eyes and you will see it to.

It's hard to imagine that a superior entity like God created everything that we touch and see. The moon itself is pretty big and the creation of the sun would prove to be a little more difficult, but if you're God and your all knowing and all powerful, he or she or it, must be one incredible being.

This is only the first couple of paragraphs in the Bible and there is no, I repeat no, historical accuracy to this event. It seems like God or man, whoever wrote the Bible, should have started the Bible with something a little more believable for people that live in the 21st century. It's not hard to imagine someone 2000 years ago, believing in something like this.

2000 years ago the Romans were worshiping their own gods, we might find this ridiculous today but back then the Romans would punish you if you didn't worship their gods. We are not too far from that today. If we don't stop organized religion and their influence on humanity, we're going to have serious problems in the future.

The biggest problem I foresee is common sense. If the Bible has 500 historical accurate facts that can be proven without a doubt by historians, scholars and other intelligent people, but has one thing that can't be explained, how do we handle this. How do we handle the fact that the Bible states God created light? If this is false, what else is false in the Bible.

Powerful Evidence in the Bible - Believing in Christianity

You're not going to believe the evidence that I found in the Bible on my daily search through it. This information is going to change your life forever. If you're a Christian and believe that Jesus is the son of God and part of the Trinity, keep reading this article. If you're not a Christian and do not choose to believe in Christianity, I suggest that you go find another article to read, you will not benefit from this information, if you are a nonbeliever.

There is powerful evidence in the Bible that Jesus was the son of man, he was born to Mary and Joseph but Joseph wasn't really his father, it says so in the book of Matthew in the New Testament. That's enough evidence right there to provide me with a lifelong pursuit to stay a Christian. It doesn't take much to keep a Christian be leaving in Christianity, does it.

It's a proven fact that Jesus is God, even though God created Jesus, Jesus is God. I hope I didn't confuse you with the last statement that I made but I'm trying to provide you with powerful evidence from the Bible. Unbelievable true stories that can not be confirmed but can not be denied from true believers. Even though some of the stories don't make a whole lot of sense, most Christians will continue to believe they are true. Let's stick together on this one.

If you're honestly a true believer in Jesus, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Don't let anyone tell you that you're wrong or that the Bible isn't really true. Anyone who talks to you about God in a negative way, doesn't get to go to heaven and you shouldn't waste any more of your time talking to these people. They could try to convince you that your religion is based on lies and this is the work of Satan.

There's plenty of powerful evidence in the Bible to prove for a fact that Jesus is God and only Christians get to go to heaven. If you're a Christian, live your life with a sense of relief. All you need is Jesus. Jesus will provide you with everything that you need food, clothes, education, morals, beliefs and of course faith. He will provide you with the faith to believe in God and will provide you with someone to lean on during difficult times.

I would like to ask you, as a true believer in Christianity to learn more about your religion, spent some time educating yourself on the truth. I would also suggest to learn more about other religions, just in case one of them comes up to you with some false testimony. I'm joking of course, you should be aware of other religions and their impact or similarities in Christianity.

Crisis In Christianity

Whirlpool Polara Refrigerated Range

This is a stove that has the capability to also be used as a refrigerator. This stove was introduced about six years ago. The idea behind this stove is that it gives the owner the options to take the chicken out of the refrigerator and place it into the oven where it can be kept cool for several hours. With the stove set to the cooling mode cooking can then be set to start at a later time.

This is the same size as your basic 30 inch stove. With a refrigerated unit underneath, the unit turns on and blows cool air into the oven cavity. When it is set to the cooling mode, it is designed to maintain 32 to 43 degrees for up to a 24 hour period.

The cooling mode can only begin if the temperature inside the oven is below 175 degrees. The electronic control system is designed with a 24 hour cooling lock out. What this means is, once that amount of refrigeration time is reached, if there is not any cooking, the cool mode will terminate. This prevent condensation from forming in the cabinet insulation.

The refrigeration system used two normally closed bi-metal controls. The control at the top of the evaporator coil is wired as a primary control. This control opens at 22 degrees when it cycles the compressor however it keeps the evaporator fan motor operating in order to accomplish an evaporator defrost cycle. Once the coil temperature reaches 39 degrees, the control closes again, allowing the compressor to operate.

Real Estate Marketing - Why Satisfied Clients Don't Refer

Why, when the people you sell a home to relocate and use a different Realtor? They had a great experience; you found a house in reasonable time, and a price they can afford. A few years past and now they have two kids and need an upgrade. Their conversation will go something like this.

"What was the name of our Realtor that sold us this home?" she replies," I'm not sure I don't remember if it was a man or woman."

This is a very humorous but sad situation for the old Realtor. They have no idea about the two new kids and the pay raise he has received. This lack of common information is a result of not looking at the customer as a repeat buyer or a referral source but as a one time "Help me pay my mortgage" sale. If they would have only taken the time to notice this is a family with needs and wants they could have seized the opportunity to sell them their second and third home. But this lack of vision plagues many in the market today.

The average person knows of three home transactions a year. Let's say you only sold ten homes last year. You would have the opportunity for thirty referrals if you stay on the forefront of your clients mind. Most Realtors would finish the year discouraged at their past performance instead of being focused on the fact they now have ten referral sources and possible repeat buyers.

Well, how do I get them to refer me to a friend or family member when the opportunity arises? I'm glad you asked. People will refer business to people they know, like, and trust. Appreciation wins over every time. When you genuinely reach out and show your customer appreciation they feel the need to give back and the only way they know how is to refer a friend or family member to you. Since the average person knows of three home transactions a year if you continually show them appreciation they can continually refer you business.

Appreciation can be shown in several different ways. But in our fast pace world today it is very difficult to express gratitude in the most personal way, a handwritten card. Thankfully there are companies online that can do all the leg work for you. They can print out your cards with your handwriting and your signature and kick them out in the mail for you. They can also add any picture to your card and even type a message on the front.

The time you save in using these systems is worth more than the system itself. You can set up sequential cards to stay in front of your customers and they will do it all for you. All you do is pick out the card you want type in your personal message, click send and they do the rest.

Eric R. Anderson shares an amazing Real Estate Marketing tool that allows you to stay in front of your customers on a personal level through the ease of sending cards with your handwriting and signatures. They also can attached gifts such as brownies, cookies, or even add gift cards! If you would like to send a free card to test drive the system visit Easy Real Estate Marketing and go to the Free Trial for one of their representatives and they will walk you through sending a Free Card!

The Best Tips When Selling Your Home

The best tips anyone can ever give you when selling your home is to be educated and adaptive. An educated seller understands and listens to the local real estate market and knows what their agent is doing to sell their property. You and your agent need to change with the trends while on the market allowing you to make the necessary adjustments to your listing and to sell faster than the market absorption rate (time it takes to sell a similar home in your area). Taking control of your selling experience and working with your agent is vital to get your property sold. And, tools are readily available to assist you in this process.

Listen to the market and be open to making appropriate decisions regarding your home. The agent is in the industry and can communicate the facts and trends of the market place. Your job is listening to the market and using that information to make the right changes to your property. Interpreting the difference between the agent's voice and the market can be easier said than done. And certainly, establishing effective communication can be difficult. The market reflects changes in competing properties, reports the prospective buyers' opinion of your home, and follows home supply and demand in your local area (market absorption). Being attentive to the market allows you to make educated, informed decisions while selling your home. You should never feel as though you are making changes, like lowering your price, because that is what your agent said to do. You lower your price because of conditions in your local market conveyed by your agent after analyzing feedback, competing homes, and market absorption.

Be confident that you are going to sell. Start packing. Become a minimalist. Every good agent will tell you the way you sell your home is different than the way you live in your home. A home stager who focuses on making the best use of what you already have rather than spending on new decor can be an excellent investment. You may need to do some inexpensive tasks like painting, recovering an old chair, or adding additional lighting to rooms. Do the small stuff. Boost your property's condition above expectations!

Work with your agent to design a marketing plan specific to your home, considering its location, amenities and potential buyers. A growing number of buyers are finding their homes online, over 70%, so a strong Internet presence is essential. Furthermore, every home is different and every real estate market is unique to its location. Most agents have a similar plan for each home - a tried and tested plan that works most of the time. Also incorporate qualities that are specific to your home, neighborhood, and community.

Take an active part in the marketing process. Marketing your home should not rest entirely on your agent's shoulders. You own the home and you are the best person to talk it up! Just as important, be flexible with your plan. If you are not getting showings and/or positive feedback, something is not working, so make changes. Collaborate with your agent to develop new strategies and put them to work. Never hesitate to try something new.

Lastly, make accountability a priority. After you've designed your plan, hold both yourself and your agent accountable to perform.Use a system for staying in touch.Affordable and easy tools are available to your Realtor for keeping you in constant contact, informed, and educated on the market. An inexpensive communication tool like Update Lane, updatelane.com, allows you to follow your agents marketing activities, read feedback from potential buyers, track competing properties, and access and share all documents in one place online.

With your marketing plan and communication system in place, you can now start making educated decisions and working with your agent to get your home sold.

Happy selling!
